Zahili González Zamora is a Cuban-born pianist, composer, arranger, and educator whose music bridges Afro-Cuban tradition with the forward-looking spirit of contemporary jazz. A summa cum laude graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute master’s program—where she studied under Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, and and Joe Lovano—Zahili has quickly become a distinctive voice in the international jazz landscape. Her work is acclaimed for its rhythmic sophistication, luminous harmonic language, and deep emotional narrative rooted in migration, identity, and transformative resilience.

In 2025, Zahili released her highly praised album Overcoming, recorded at New York’s legendary Power Station Studios with an all-star ensemble including Sean Jones, Yosvany Terry, Pedrito Martínez, Gerson Lazo Quiroga, Julian Miltenberger, Yandy García, and Keisal Jiménez. The project has garnered enthusiastic reviews from respected critics such as Fernando González (Jazz with an Accent), Fred Bouchard (DownBeat), and Jason Berry, who described the album as “a timeless evocation of Cuban musical traditions” and “an aural tapestry of the diaspora’s sorrows and spiritual yearnings.”

A dynamic and in-demand performer, Zahili has appeared at major festivals including Jazz Plaza (Cuba), Cambridge Jazz Festival, and international stages across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. Her ensembles—ranging from her current Afro-Cuban jazz trio to her acclaimed project MIXCLA—are known for electrifying interplay, cultural depth, and bold improvisational storytelling. Beyond the stage, Zahili is an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches piano, Latin jazz, improvisation, and ensemble direction. She is the upcoming Academic Director of Berklee en Santo Domingo 2026, and an active mentor dedicated to developing the next generation of global musicians. With a rapidly rising artistic profile, Zahili stands at the forefront of today’s Afro-Latin jazz evolution—an artist of clarity, power, and profound creative vision.
